The North Korean government would seek to cope with the shortage of dog meat food, according to the Daily NK, the same one that previously reported about the health of polemic North Korean leader. The Kim Jong-un regime could be going through a serious problem of shortages of food products, which is why its controversial leader, had ordered to buy canines to distribute in 36 famous restaurants in the city of Pyongyang, the country’s capital.
North Korean authorities have reportedly not paid the dog breeders with money, but with promises, according to Daily NK, a media outlet infiltrating the hermetic country, government officials have promised to deliver rice and oil from China before October 10th to those who deliver dogs that maintain a weight of 15 to 18 kilos.
The same media also reported that only in the first week of collection 720 kilos were gathered, approximately 40 dogs. North Korea has restaurants that serve dog meat, which would be suffering a crisis due to lack of supply, as fewer and fewer people raise these animals for consumption.
The North Korean regime has expressed concern about the loss of breeders in the country and the lack of food, two weeks ago the Armed Forces ordered the soldiers to raise rabbits, each of them had to deliver an average of 1.5 rabbits weighing at least 3.5 kilograms, while the families of the military had to raise about 15 animals, in addition to fulfilling their military duties.
