3.7 earthquake is reported in Cañete this morning

Moments of tension were experienced this morning in southern Lima, specifically in Chilca where an earthquake of magnitude 3.7 was recorded, the Geophysical Institute of Peru (IGP) reported on its social networks.

The incident occurred at 2:16 am on Monday, with a depth of 59 km, and being its epicenter 26 kilometers from Chilca, in Cañete.

So far according to the National Institute of Civil Defense (Indeci), no personal or material damage has been reported because of this earthquake.

However, remember to always have your emergency backpack on hand; which must contain non-perishable canned food, tools, and a portable radio.

In the same way before any telluric movement, it is recommended to keep calm at all times and to have identified the safety zones of the place where we are.
